A Korean based Highland Capital Management affiliate called Highland Capital Management Korea Ltd. made a big business collaboration that enabled Highland to make its first investment entrance in Asia. The business deal between the two organizations agreed on a total capital investment of private equity fund of $147 million in the healthcare industry. The National Pension Service (NPS) of South Korea, which is the anchor investor in the fund, has brought together forces with other investors to achieve long-term beneficial healthcare objectives and a good return on investment from the private equity fund.

Most Asian investors have shown undivided interest towards putting their money in the healthcare industry, unlike before when it was all based on a direct basis or through multi-purpose funds. The fund’s strategy is focused on utilizing Highland Capital Management’s experience and expertise in the healthcare field.

Highland Capital Management has also been offering alternative investments such as the emerging markets, equities, and natural resources. Its clients include public pension plans, foundations, various governments, endowments, private corporations, individuals, and financial institutions. Although its headquarters is based in Dallas, Texas, it has operations in other locations such as New York, Sao Paolo, Singapore, and Seoul.

The company rang a bell in October 2016’s Nasdaq Stock Market Closing for Relisting of Senior Loan ETF. Nasdaq, which is a major player in trading, listing, and clearing has enabled business people to plan and optimize the execution of their objectives confidently.
