Yanni Hufnagel is one of the most well-known college basketball recruiters in the United States and presently serves as an Assistant Coach of the leading Nevada Wolf Pack men’s basketball team. He is assistant coach of the team under the first coach, Eric Musselman, who is also one of the leading coaches in the world of basketball.
Over the years, Yanni Hufnagel has worked as a trainer for many other basketball teams, including Harvard Crimson, California Golden Bears, and Vanderbilt Commodores. During his school days, he played for Scarsdale High School basketball team and served as the captain of the team. Later he also worked as a commentator for the basketball game on the local cable TV channel.
Upon joining Pennsylvania State University, he played as a defenseman during his freshman year and was recruited for the lacrosse. Subsequently, Yanni Hufnagel joined Cornell University and received Bachelor of Science degree in 2006, majoring in Industrial and Labor Relations. While working as an assistant coach for the Nevada Wolf Pack, his responsibility is to ensure that the team is organized and disciplined and the boys are ready for the competitive challenges ahead.

Eric is confident that Yanni would prove his worth and majorly contribute to the team’s overall development.
Yanni Hufnagel has even coached the great Damian Jones when working as an assistant coach for Commodores. Damian Jones was chosen to be the 30th in the list of Golden State Warriors. During his tenure as an assistant coach at Harvard, he helped the college basketball team to win 20 games over the four seasons, which is a remarkable achievement in itself. He helped the team realize its real potential and helped them win several big leagues titles.
